Track your GLS parcels in one click

Use our online tool to quickly track your GLS packages. All you need to do is enter your GLS tracking number into the tool and you will get your package information, such as whether the parcel is in transit, at the parcel center, or delivered, etc.

GLS is one of the major international shipping companies that deliver to multiple destinations across the world. It is used by online sellers as well as by normal non-commercial customers.

If you are sending a package via GLS or expecting one, you can use our tool to keep an eye on its progress.

How to track GLS packages with the help of our online tool?

Here are the steps that you can follow to quickly track your GLS parcels with our online tool.

  1. First of all, you need to find the tracking number of your GLS package/consignment. You can find this number on the receipt of your consignment or on the confirmation email that is sent on your provided email address.
  2. Enter the tracking number into the provided space. You can enter more than one if you want, as our tool allows for ten different tracking numbers. Each number has to be placed on a new line.
  3. After you are done entering the tracking number(s), click on the “Track Package” button.
  4. The details about your consignment will be provided in a new screen. You can view them online in your browser or download them to your device.

How do you track GLS packages using the official website?

Other than our tool, there is another method that you can use to track your GLS parcels. You can use the official website. Using the official website is just as easy as our tool. However, it does not provide the same number of features that we do.

Here are the steps that you can follow to use the official website:

  1. First of all, navigate to the official website by clicking on this link: https://gls-group.com/GROUP/en/parcel-tracking/
  2. Enter the tracking numbers of your consignment into the provided space. You can enter multiple tracking numbers if required
  3. Click on the “Search” button to start the tracking process

What are the meanings of the different GLS tracking statuses?

When you track your GLS parcels using our service or the official website, there are various tracking statuses that can be assigned to your consignment. Below we have mentioned the main statuses along with their meanings.

Status Description
Preadvice This status is used to show that the details about the package have been submitted to GLS. The records for the shipment have been created but it is yet to be picked up.
Cancelled This status is used to indicate that the package pickup was cancelled because the item was not ready at the prescribed time.
In Transit This status is used to show that the package has been picked up by GLS and is now in the transportation phase to be taken to the final parcel center.
At Final Parcel Center This status is used to show that the package has arrived at the final parcel center, from where it will be taken to the last destination.
In Delivery This status is used to show that the package has now left the parcel center and is out for delivery. In other words, it is with the GLS delivery person who will hand it over within the same day.
Delivered This status is used to show that the package has been successfully delivered.
Delivered to Parcel Shop This status is used to show that the package has been delivered to a parcel shop where you can pick it up later.
Not Delivered This status is used to indicate that the package has not been delivered to the final destination. There are different reasons why this can happen, such as an incorrect address or due to the unavailability of the recipient

What does the GLS tracking number look like, and where can I find it?

The GLS tracking number can be found in three different places:

The tracking number of GLS packages usually consists of two letters at the start, followed by nine numerical digits and then two letters. The starting letters are often “GL.” Here is an example of what a GLS tracking number may look like:

GL548988745AS

Why should you pick our tracking service over others?

While there are many different methods and online platforms that you can use to track your GLS parcels, we recommend using our one for various reasons. We provide a range of features and perks, such as:

Bulk tracking support

Our tracking service lets you check the tracking status of more than one package. You can enter ten different tracking numbers at the same time. If you have a lot of incoming or outgoing parcels, you can add all of their tracking numbers together and get their information collectively.

Shipping information download

Another reason to pick our tracking tool is that it lets you download the tracking information of your package(s) to your local storage. You can save the information to your device as a TXT file and then view it any time you want. The file can also be shared with other people if the need arises.

Categorized information tabs

If you are tracking more than one package, all the details (such as when they all were delivered or send to the Parcel Center, etc.) can get a bit cluttered. But with our tool, this is nothing to worry about. Our tool provides categorized information tabs in the results section so that you can easily see which packages are in a particular shipping status, such as “In Transit,” or “Delivered,” etc.

FAQs

Can I use this tracking service for all types of GLS packages?

There are different types of shipping services that GLS provides, such as domestic shipping and international shipping. However, our tracking tool is made to provide shipping information about all types of packages, regardless of the specific type of service that they are being sent through.

I don’t have my tracking number. What should I do?

If you don’t have your tracking number, you should first check your email or your SMS app for the confirmation message. The confirmation message usually contains the tracking ID. If you haven’t been sent such a message, then you can get in touch with GLS using their helpline. Once you describe your consignment, you will be provided the tracking ID again.

Why aren’t the statuses of my consignment being updated?

Usually, this problem occurs due to a system error on the end of GLS. You can get in touch with them and tell them that the status of your package is not updating. If there is a problem with the package itself and not the tracking system, then GLS will be able to look into it for you.
